Helps for Meditating on the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ
I wanted to take a blog post to introduce a few resources you can utilize to meditate on the person and work of Christ this weekend. Please reach out and share with me any specific things you do, especially during this season of holy week.
Music
Page CXVI: Historically I've listened to Page CXVI's Good Friday to Easter Music. You can find this album here for free to stream on soundcloud.
Andrew Peterson: Andrew has a 3 album work with this particular season in mind. I think he spent well over a decade putting this work together and I go through it all season long. You can find all three albums in one set here.
Rich Mullins: This isn't a Good Friday-Easter season album, but it's very Christo-centric. I listen to this album each season. It's Rich Mullins' album A Liturgy, A Legacy, and a Ragamuffin Band.
Scripture
Reading through all 4 Gospels during this season is devotionally enriching. Maybe even work through a devotionally rich commentary like "Matthew: All Authority in Heaven and on Earth" by Douglas Sean O'Donnell.
Sermon
Here is a fantastic sermon by a faithful minister of the gospel on the finished work of Christ. "The Mere Believer's Certainty Facing Eternity" by Geoffrey Thomas
