2021 at Broad Oak Piety
Happy New Year my friends. I am excited to pray for and labor in the gospel in 2021 as the news of God's Kingdom continues to sanctify the church and make its way to every crack and crevice of the earth until the earth is full of the knowledge of the glory of God (Hab. 2:14).
I wanted to give you a little bit of information regarding the direction of the blog and podcast over this next year. I can't thank you enough for staying tuned and interacting with the content posted here.

Revelation Commentary: My hope is to conclude that journey by the summer and have a completed type of devotional commentary for those of you keeping up with it.
Edwards' Resolutions: Much like the Revelation commentary I hope to conclude our journey through Edward's resolutions by the summer of 2021 and produce a devotional commentary on the resolutions.
Quotes: One new thing I plan to begin doing is post quotes from various books (fiction and non-fiction) that I think are worth sharing for you. I pray it will entice you to read more, expose you to good books and authors, and demonstrate how reading books in addition to the Bible can help develop your worldview.
Sabbatical Reflections: I am going work through further reflections from my sabbatical as a means of reporting to you the value of that time spent away.
Position Papers: I am going to write a series of essays designed to examine the world through the word of God. I hope to demonstrate how theological commitments inform every aspect of life whether intentional or unintentional.
Broad Oak Piety Podcast
The podcast has been an unexpected ministry journey and we are still figuring out how to do it. Ryan and I have discussed doing it for years and with everything going on in our culture this past year, it seemed like as good a time as any to start it. We were happy to just do a few episodes and stop, but it seems that many of you have tuned into the podcast and it has enabled us to have a platform to discuss issues in a public way that we may not have the opportunity to do so otherwise.
Neither of us knows anything about podcasting, and we haven't put a lot of time into the production of it. However, after hearing from many of you who listen faithfully we have decided to continue the podcast and focus more time and attention on developing it.
This year we will cover various topics theologically, politically, and anything that interests us that we think is worth sharing. We hope to produce one episode a week. The aim ultimately is to have our respective congregations engage with the podcast regularly so that we can continue to shepherd and nurture a biblical worldview.
